"Keithy Jackson"

I have been around music my whole life. My father jazz pianist Donald brown exposed me to a variety of music from a young age from Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway to Herbie Hancock and Oscar Peterson. I've been playing the piano since about age 8 but just started taking it serous since I was 18. Since then I've been playing locally around the Knoxville area in a variety of different bands from Pop, Neo-Soul, Country, R&B and Jazz.  In 2007 My trio performed at the Jazz En Tete festival in Clermont France. I also played with the Bill Mobley Orchestra were I shared the stage with Billy Pierce, Warren Wolf Jr., Bill Mobley, and Ali Jackson(drummer for the Lincoln Center). I also played at the Knoxville jazz Festival with Legendary Drummer Mike Clark(Head Hunters) were I shared the stage with Essiet Essiet, Bill Mobley, and Jeff Coffin. I have also studied classical music off and on for a number of years. Though I've mostly been writing R&B, soul, jazz music I love playing all types of music and try to draw from all areas of the music I've been exposed to and bring it to the band.
